Professor Dame Wendy Hall

Founder Partner

Wendy Hall, DBE, FREng, FRS is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southampton, UK. One of the first computer scientists to undertake serious research in multimedia and hypermedia, she has been at its forefront ever since. The influence of her work has been significant in many areas including digital libraries, the development of the Semantic Web, and the emerging research discipline of Web Science.

Professor Nigel Shadbolt

Founder Partner

Nigel Shadbolt is Professor of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deputy Head (Research) of the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. From 2000-07 he led AKT the UK’s largest research council funded project in the area of Semantic Technology. In 2008 he was appointed Information Advisor to the UK Government. He is a Director and Trustee of the Web Science Trust as well as a Director of the World Wide Web Foundation.

Charles Rudgard

Chief Executive

Charles Rudgard - has over 15 years of experience in consulting and leading multi-discipline teams to create IT solutions. His skills span the business spectrum from managing IT teams to business planning, integration management, brand development and marketing. He has particular experience and interest in new start-ups.

Hugh Glaser

Chief Architect

Hugh Glaser has more than 30 years experience in Computer Science. He has created two of the most significant practical activities in the Web of Data, sameas.org and rkbexplorer.

Tim Organ

Chief Operating Officer

Tim Organ has been involved in the software products and services sector for 14 years building a wealth of commercial and delivery experience in a variety of senior roles. He has a deep understanding of product management and the successful delivery of complex IT solutions in a business context.
